Maine-2012

Fishing in Molunkus Lake Maine - June 2012
  • A view of Molunkus Lake.
  • We stayed at Harry's Lodge in Molunkus, ME. The Lodge is run by Jackie and Bob Paasch.
  • Gene (AKA Genebob) with a nice Molunkus Lake smallmouth bass.
  • Genebob motors into the dock on a rainy day.
  • A fat "Bronzeback" from the lake.
  • Jack got this beauty while it wasn't raining.
  • Matt with a nice landlocked salmon. He and Genebob found a spot where they caught several of these.
  • I got this average one while I was fishing alone.
  • This one gave jack a tussle.
  • Genebob with an average size bass.
  • Jack partakes of some "rainy day" activity.
  • Matt shows off a nice bass.
  • My fattest fish of the trip.
  • Matt developed a close relationship with this tiny fish that took his lure.
  • Gene gets another one.
  • Matt landed this really big chain pickerel.
  • Matt gets a little reading in on a rainy day.
  • The boys got some golf in on Friday, which was the best day to avoid getting wet.
  • Genebob and I spotted this moose on a rainy and dark evening. His camera had to go to a slow shutter speed in the dark, thus this blurry photo.
  • Chipmunk on the woodpile.
  • A garter snake taking advantage of a brief period of sun.
  • These cows found some high ground in the field flodded by the more than 10 inches of rain that fell last week.
  • The Medway Dam on the Penobscot River. We can usually walk up the edge to fish this section, but not during this flood stage.
  • The creek flowing into Molunkus Lake.
  • A bright sky after a storm rolled through.
