Horses, Hiking, Falls
(Last modified: 8/24/16)
Not all who wander are lost.
Below are some some of the most recent photos I've taken of
the family (mostly grandkids) or activities Pat and I have been
involved in. If you're here, it's most likely that I sent you an e-mail
referring you to this site. My plan is to only put temporary photos
here and to remove the old ones when new ones are posted.
plan was to visit Majestic Stables in Hardwick, NJ, where Giselle takes
lessons, rides and spends most of her summer days. After that we were
heading to the Kittatinny Ridge to hike around Blue Mountain Lake and
visit the Indian Rocks overlook. Then we headed to visit Buttermilk
falls before lunch at the Jumboland Diner at Culver Lake.
Giselle introducing Beau and Elizabeth to a few of the horse.
An escapee from the pasture.
Hiking along the shores of Blue Mountain Lake. (That piece of land across the water is an island)
Picking wild blueberries. Elizabeth remarked that they were much better than store-bought.
Great Lobelia blooming on the shore of the lake.
This little American toad was caught hopping across the trail. They both handled it.
Beau and Elizabeth at the Indian Rocks overlook.
The obligatory group photo.
Nearing the end of the 3.8 mile hike.
Beau and Elizabeth at the Buttermilk Falls. Not a bad flow for August, but it really flows best in the spring.
